Reference of Journey

Day 1 Chengdu － 230Km － Rilong Stay Over ： Rilong
Starting from Chengdu, enjoying rural landscape of West Sichuan Veldt, we get to Dujiangyan along 40km Cheng-Guan High Way, and here you can enjoy the monumental human masterpiece of Dujiangyan irrigation system built on Min River, which has fed people in Kinddom of Tianfu for more than 2000 years. Then we get into the canyon of Min River, and upward the running river water we get to Yinxiu where there are full of clouds and fogs, then we take the road directly leading to Wolong and visit China Panda Research and Protecting Center at natural protecting area. Then cross over Balang Mountain with altitude of 4,500 meters, and on the top of the mountain, all the mountains are so small that we can view all of them easily, and you can see pure white snows when lowering your head and changeable sea of woods when raising your head. After furtherly watching Siguniang Mount, which is covered by ices and snows in the sunset at Maobiliang, we reach Rilong.

Day 2 Appreciate the "Oriental Alps"--- Siguniang Mountain Stay Over ： Rilong
Wander about at Shuangqiao Channel and Changping Channel on foot or by horse. Experience crossing original forest, striding bourn by horse and looking at snow mountain in distance. Although it is tough, at Shuangqiao Channel, you can feel the original primitive and secret mystery and see Tibetan village made of stone houses; at Changping Channel, you may see ancient cypresses and quiet roads and visit sacred Lama Temples and flying fall of tens of meters; at Haizi Channel, you can see quiet lakes and dark-green grasses, even groups of fishes in the water. Along the road, not only Siguniang Mountain can be seen, but also Kushu Sand, Tangfan Ancient Road, Leiguyan, 1st Ping, 2nd Ping, Tibetan villages can be visited. Plus: Lunch has to be had on road.

Day 3 Rilong － 150Km － Danba Stay Over ： Jiaju Tibetan Village of Danba
We will get up early to excurse Shuangqiao Channel, Changpin Channel of Siguniang Mountain area, and appreciate the verve of oriental Alps. We will pass by Xiaojin County named after its former history of teeming with gold, and now it is the hometown of altiplano apples and snow pears. Continuing for Danba, passing by Danba Bridge which is the only passage between Xiaojin County and Danba County, then we get into Danba county which is named as "Kingdom of Thousands of Pillboxes" and locates on the southwest of Morduo God Mountain which is one of the four god mountain in Tibetan Area. In Jiaju Tibetan Village, we can appreciate the unique and most special terrain and relief in the world, and we will look for Danba beauty in legend, maybe you will have some fortunes.

Day 4 Danba － 145Km － Xindu Bridge Stay Over ： Xindu Bridge
　Pushing forward up the float and along Yak Valley with beautiful scenery, we can appreciate natural landscapes during the journey. About 60Km passing, Yala Mountain is in the eye shot, which is full of white snows and rises to the clouds. Appreciating majestic appearance of the mountain, you will reach a far-flung veldt that shines with the snow mountain. In the farther distance is Haizi Mountain that locates in the north edge of Tagong Veldt and is 5820M high. With snow mountains around every direction, Tibetan houses locates here and there ： gold shining Tagong Temple , mysterious Tibetan Lection Palace ; natural stone forests, golden births and white poplar... You can still enjoy the landscape of Tagong Veldt(which in Tibetan means places that bodhisattva likes). About 30km away from Xindu Bridge is the golden cenotaph which is in memory of Bancan and still the famous Tagong Temple which was built in Jiaqing times of Qing Dynasty and it is said that there places the joss of Sakyamuni that was brought by Wencheng Princess of Tang Dynasty when she married. Therefore, Tagong Temple has a beautiful name of Little Dazhao Temple. Eventually photographying paradise of Xindu Bridge is reached.

Day 5 Xindu Bridge － 367Km － Daocheng Stay Over ： Daocheng
Xindu Bridge, which is called east Eluo and "photographing paradise", is a small town and is the dividing point of north and south Sichuan-Tibet Route . After appreciate Gongga Mountain which is father of Shu Mountains, we will start from Xindu Bridge, passing by Yajiang, getting into Yaqing River and a flourish forest, crossing over two mountains more than 4000M high, Gaorsi Mountain ( 4500M ), Jianziwan Mountain ( 4658M ), we will get in Maoya Veldt which is approximately 5000 square kilo meters and with an altitude of more than 4000M but is not abrupt. At last we will reach Litang that is 4014M high and is called world high city, and it is the place where the 7th and 10th Dalai was born. In Litang, we will visit Changqingchun Ker Temple . After crossing over Tur Mountain and Haizi Mountain and passing by Sandui town, we will reach Daocheng where will enjoy Rubuchaka warm spring.

Day 6 Daocheng － 160Km － Yading Village Stay Over ： Yading Village
Going for Yading Natural Protecting Area from downtown of Daocheng County. During the journey, we can see ten thousand of poplars, Bowa-Dixitang grass ground. Advancing along Cituhe Valley , appreciating white snow on both sides, passing Tibetan villages, worshiping Gongga Temple , passing by Riwa Town , we will reach Yading Village. If time allows, we will go to visit Chonggu Temple and Luorong Cattle ground.

Day 7 Yading Village/Chonggu Temple/Luorong Battle Ground/Yading Village/Daocheng Stay Over ： Daocheng
Getting up early, we will start from Chonggu Temple to Yading Natural Protecting Area on foot or by horse. During the journey, we will visit Mani Heap with a history of thousands of years, pilgrimage Zhuomalacuo Mountain to see your passed and future life, view Jianxiannairi Mountain which means Guanshiyin Bodhisattva and with an altitude of 6023M, Xianuoduo Mountain which means Bodhisattva with golden hands and with an altitude of 5958M, YiangMaiyong Mountain which means Wensu Bodhisattva and with an altitude of 5958M. We will visit beautiful Pearl Sea, view wild animals and plants, high-mountain flowers, snow Mountains, forests, glaciers, lakes, floats. Just be part of the nature and experience the harmoniousness of human and nature. If time allows, before returning to Yading Village, we will go to Milk Sea and Five-Color Sea whose altitude is about 5000 meters. When the sun sets, we will drive back to Daocheng.

Day 8 Daocheng － 250Km － Xiangcheng － Derong-Benlilan-Meili Snow Mountain Stay Over ： Meili （ Feilai Temple ）
Leaving from Daocheng, we will drive to Xiangcheng, during the journey we will pass by Sangdui, cross over Wuming Mountain, Stride Maxiong Channel that is called natural danger. In the small town of Sandui , there are vast rangelands. Seeing the further, there are group of mountains rolling and Tibetan villages diffusing in the range. In the nearer, graziers and cattle, goats form a peachful picture and give people a quiet and serene picture. No wander it is recorded that a Tibetan living Buddhain praised when passing here in 1144 A.D.: "I have been all over the Tibetan areas and come here. The scene here is very beautiful, pasturage is plentiful, critters are thriftily and the light of Buddha shines the ground, so I am willing to build a temple here to make some contribution." Along the route, we will appreciate Kangba Tibetan landscapes, view natural landscapes of altiplano and the red grass of Sangdui, then we reach Derong, then to Benzilan which is called beautiful Sands, eventually to Meili Snow Mountain, the main mountain of which is Kawabo Mountain and is 6740M high. Below the mountain are glaciers and moraines, of which the Mingyongqia Glacier is about 8 kilo meters long and is the only one of ever found modern sea glaciers in China that has the lowest altitude and latitude, it has much enjoyable and exploring value. The Mingyong Village which is at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain is the main area to view "three river float together" which is an important place of interest in China. In the village, there is strong Tibetan folk and simple folkway.

Day 9 Meili-Zhongdian Stay Over ： Zhongdian
Leaving from Meili, we will drive to Zhongdian directly and there are many original and natural landscapes along the route. Large and small snow mountains made of lime rocks reach the clouds in the sky and make you feel the beauty of the nature. Deep snows cover the original forest. Zhongdian is the capital of Diqing Canton and rules Deqin, Weixigong, and is the gate of north Silk Road. There live people of Han, Tibet, Naxi, Bai, and Hui who communicate with each other continually but keep their own national features.

Day 10 Zhongdian （ Xianggelila ） /Songzanglin Temple/Green-Tower Sea/Baishuitai （ 200Km ） Stay Over ： Down Hutiao Canon
After visiting Songzanlin Temple, which is called Small Budala Palace, we will drive to Green-Tower Sea on the northeast of Zhongdian. Green-Tower Sea has an altitude of 3705 meters and area of 15 square meters, where the lake is surrounded by hills on the four sides. It is another kind of beauty when ices and snows cover the all. There largely lives a kind of special fish named Lifu fish, whose body is golden yellow, and there is crackle on its abdomen, at the same time, it tests decilious and the meat is exquisite. There inhabits a lot of wild dasks and water birds. It is about 50km driving from Baishuitai to Down Hutiao Canon.

Day 11 Walk On World Class Route of Traveling on Foot, From Down Hutiao Canon to Middle Hutiao Canon along Jinsha River Valley, eventually reaches Suzhong Hutiao Canon.
Hutiao Canon locates in the southeast of Zhongdian and is 105km away from it, 35Km away from the first Gulf of Changjiang River. It is divided into Up Hutiao, Middle Hutiao and Down Hutiao and has 18 dangerous sands. The narrowest of the river is only approximately 30 meters, and Yulong and Haba Snow Mountain surround the water. The altitude fall is up to 3900 meters and the valley is the few deepest ones in the world. Hutiao Canon is the most famous valley in the world and is famous for its strangeness and danger. You can get into the big valley from the town of Hutiao Canon, passing by Chongjiang River and Haba Snow Mountain. Up Hutiao is 9km away form the town of Hutiao Canon, and it is only several meters wide and is the narrowest segment in the whole valley. There is a big 13-meter-high stone named Hutiao Stone in the center of the river. The stone sticks up like lonely mountain. The river float bumps into the huge stone, making the mountains and valley crash. Jinsha River suddenly turns north about 40km from Shigu and breaks into the room between Yulong and Haba Snow Mountain, making the deepest, narrowest and most dangerous valley in the world, which is Hutiao Canon. The water in the river falls 213 meters in the 30-meter-long valley. The narrowest sement of the river is only 30 meters. Jinsha River shows a kind of unblockable vigour.

Day 12 Drive From Middle Hutiao Canon to Up Middle Gulf, Enjoy the Attractive Verve of the 1st of Changjiang River, then Reach the Ancient City of Lijiang
Lijiang is named after the beautiful Jinsha River. The ancestor of 200 thousand Naxi people created Dongba culture and has created Dongba character that is the only one hieroglyph being used. This is also the place that the US general Cheng Nade took as the tranportation base for his group of flying tiger army and Hump Line in the period of Anti-Japan War. The north-city Yufeng Temple is famous for its particular camellia Tree that has a history of 300 years and it has a beautiful name of "ten thousand camellias". Yucaiping is the best place to view Yulong Snow Mountain and was the halidom for Naxi lovers to die for their loves. It is called Xanadu and you can just lie down on the grass or ride a horse in the wood.
